Painting for relaxation and as a break from minute details and the rigid convention of flower photography and descriptions necessary for the B&D Lilies' mail order catalog, Dianna loves the freedom of abstract design and varying textures. As it is difficult to suppress the gardener within, most of her acrylics have nature worked into the designs - dried leaves and other plant snippets, but also the inclusion of interesting metallic objects, glass, paper, poly or wood.
